Broaden Your Academic Experience

Our Post 16 Extension courses add an extra dimension to your studies, offering you the chance to develop a wider range of skills and knowledge and experiences that will set you apart in a competitive world.
Core Maths
This is for students not studying maths at A Level and is particularly recommended for students who are studying A levels which include mathematical content (e.g. sciences, geography, psychology, business, economics, computer science).
This is a one year course which will enable students to retain and further develop their maths skills whilst supporting their learning in other subjects.
The course also carries UCAS points and can lead to reduced offers for university places.
Extended Project Qualification
Students produce a 5000 word academic report or an artefact/performance with a report of 2000-5000 words. There are 3 compulsory components: the project, a presentation and a detailed written log of the process. Skills learnt/developed include research, critical thinking, decision making, presentation and referencing. This course requires high degree of independent study including planning & researching.
*Courses may not run if student numbers are insufficient.
